About us

Our vision:

• To safeguard Arthur Fairchild's expressed wishes for preservation of the natural beauty of Magens Bay for the Virgin Islands community.

• To foster and encourage a sense of responsibility towards environmental stewardship and the protection of the biodiversity and ecological integrity of Magens Bay.

• To work cooperatively with the Magens Bay Authority board to promote more accessible services to Virgin Islanders, especially children and elders.

• To establish funds and cooperative relationships that will support such accessibility.

• Resources permitting, to act as guardians of related properties, namely, Drake's Seat and Fairchild Park.

What we believe:

Magens Bay is a unique treasure that requires deliberate community action to be an environmentally-sustainable thriving natural ecosystem that can be enjoyed by tourists while still maintaining a focus on the local community. Read our positions.

Founded in 2024, Friends of Fairchild at Magens Bay (aka Friends of Magens Bay aka Friends) intends to pursue tax-exemptions as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our EIN is 66-1076543. We are not currently accepting donations.
