Commercial tours

Magens is a popular destination for cruise ship excursions. Most of these excursions simply drop visitors off at the beach and pick them up (possibly taking them to other locations on the island as well), but a few involve specific activities at the beach, such as nature walks, kayaking, snorkeling, and sandcastle building. While members of the local community are unlikely to participate in these tours, it is still in our interest to know that these take place, so we have compiled a list of tours we found advertised on cruise ship websites. 

Friends advocates for sustainable beach development and guidelines to minimize impact on the environment & ecosystem when appropriate, e.g., limiting the size of snorkel groups, removing beach rental chairs when they are not in use.
