Facilities & concessions

This working group is intended to provide community input on the operation of beach facilities and concessions (including commercial tours), supporting sustainable improvements and remaining committed to Fairchild's vision of preserving the natural beauty for the enjoyment of Virgin Islanders.

Restrooms:

Magens Bay has three restroom facilities, with toilets and rinse showers. See the Disability access page for photos of handicap stalls.

Lifeguard stands, picnic tables & sheds:

Elliott "Mac" McIver Davis Fitness Trail:

The Mac Davis Fitness Trail was dedicated in 2024 to honor the life of beach-goer and MBA board member Elliott "Mac" McIver Davis.

Bar & grill:

Pizza and other food is served at the bar & grill from 9AM-4PM (later on late cruise ship days); the bar closes at 5PM. See below for photos of the menus. Note that a 15% gratuity is automatically included, and that it is usually faster to pay by cash than card.

Other concessions & rentals:

In addition to the bar & gril, Magens Bay concessions include a boutique gift shop, paddleboard & kayak rentals, and lounge chair & umbrella rentals.

The gift shop is generally open 9AM-5PM, selling bathing suits, beach coverups, towels, toiletries, and assorted other items.

The Yak Shak paddleboard & kayak rentals are located on the right end of the beach near Shed 1 and are typically open until 3PM. Stand up paddleboards and double kayaks are $30/hr, and single kayaks are $20/hr; there is a $5 discount for locals.

Lounge chair & umbrella rentals are available in a designated area in front of the concessions, from roughly Shed 2 to the small bathroom. Rentals are $20 per person per day and are reclaimed at 4:30PM. Snorkels/masks are also available for rental for $20.
